Moy and Eglish played out a really competitive derby battle tonight before the home side edged it by two points 0-14 to 1-9. County men Sean Cavanagh and Philip Jordan were in excellent form for the winners while Peter Mallon top scored for his side with 0-4. Moy were leading 0-8 to 0-5 heading towards the break when Eglish landed a goal and a point to lead at the short whistle. However the home team knuckled down in the second half with Karol Mc Quaid prominent and Tommy Mc Nicholl outstanding at full back. Kieran and Gregory Jordan and Caolan Daly battled gamely for their side but could not prevent Moy securing two massive points. Both teams finished the game with thirteen men each following a tussle late in the game.
