EGLISH ST. PATRICK’S G.A.C. CLUB NOTES
Adult Football
Our Senior team has three games left to play in the Tyrone Division 1 League. These games are against Omagh (away), Derrylaughan (away) and Greencastle (away). The current fixture schedule shows that our next game is against Omagh on Saturday 6th August, but due to Tyrone’s games in the All Ireland Qualifiers the dates for these games are subject to change. Confirmation of fixtures will be announced on this website.
Minor Football
Eglish Minors play Dromore in the Grade 1 Minor Football League quarter-final on Wednesday in Fr. Connolly Park, Eglish. Throw-in is at 7.30pm. We encourage as many supporters as possible to come along and show their support for our Minor team.
Under 16 Football
Our Under 16’s had a good win against Donaghmore last week. In an entertaining game Eglish outscored their opponents by 6-08 to 4-11. Their next game is at home against Coalisland this Friday 29th July, followed by an away game to Clonoe on Wednesday 3rd August. Throw-in for both games is at 7.30pm.
Under 12 Football
The Under 12’s next match in the Go Games competition is at home to Dungannon on Monday 25th July at 7.00pm followed by another home game against Pomeroy on Monday 1st August at 7.00pm.
Under 8 Go Games Football
Thanks to all who attended and helped at the latest round of Under 8 Go Games held in Ardboe at the weekend.
Campa Chormaic
The first week of the annual Campa Chormaic has been completed in Eglish and the second week has just begun. Boys and girls between the ages of nine and 16 are taking part in Irish language classes in the mornings at the Brantry Bard while in the evenings they are playing Gaelic games at Fr. Connolly Park in Eglish.
Club Lotto
There was no Lotto draws held over the July Holidays. The next Lotto will be drawn on Monday 25th July. Lotto Jackpot is £3,050.
Sympathy
The club extends its sympathy to the Fay family on their recent bereavement.
Brantry Fleadh
There is a Fleadh being held at the Brantry Bard over the weekend of Friday 5th to Sunday 7th August. This promises to be a great weekend of entertainment. Watch out in local press for more details to follow.
