Omagh entertained Eglish at Healy Park and by half time Eglish had managed to open up a three point lead 1-6 to 1-3. Omagh’s case was not helped by the sending off of county man Joey Mc Mahon following his second yellow card inside the opening seventeen minutes. Dean O’Neill gave the home side the perfect start with a goal in the opening minute and after Turlough Gallagher had scored a point on four minutes things were looking good for the hosts. However Eglish responded and with Gregory Jordan and Caolan Daly driving them forward they were ahead by the tenth minute and even though Omagh’s Cathal Mc Carron and Conan Grugan scored late points St. Patrick’s reached the break three ahead leading 1-6 to 1-3.
Gregory Jordan put his side further ahead in the first minute of the second half but Omagh were much the better side for the next fifteen minutes as a goal and a couple of points from Cathal Mc Carron put St. Endas in pole position. Barry Tierney and Conor Mc Mahon added points as Omagh opened a three point lead mid way through the half. But that was it for Omagh as Eglish came back and Brendan Donnelly and Peter Mc Cann got the scores to ensure the Eglish took the points on a final score line Omagh 2-8, Eglish 1-12.
