Football Club Notes – 05/09/11

EGLISH ST. PATRICK’S G.A.C. CLUB NOTES

Adult Football

Our Senior team played their final game last weekend when they travelled to Derrylaughan.  In a close match they were beaten by one point.  Final score Derrylaughan 1-14 Eglish 2-10.  That result leaves our Seniors finishing in ninth position in the Division One League with twelve points.   

Our Reserve team finished their league campaign with a win as they defeated Derrylaughan by five points.  Final score Derrylaughan 2-06 Eglish 1-14.  The Reserves also finished in ninth position with 14 points to their credit.   

The Reserves play Moortown in the first round of the championship tonight in Moortown at 7pm.  

Congratulations to our neighbours in Killeshil who captured the Division 3 League title at the weekend.   

   

Under 21 Football

Training for all members of the Under 21 panel continues.  All players are asked to stay in contact with management for training arrangements.  

  

Under 16 Football 

Eglish played Ardboe in the first round of the Grade 1 Under 16 Championship last Wednesday evening at Fr. Connolly Park.  Ardboe had already defeated Eglish twice in the league but the Eglish lads showed great spirit and won through to the next round.  Final score Eglish 3-10 Ardboe 1-14.  Eglish play Coalisland in the quarter final this Saturday 10th September at 12midday.  Venue to be confirmed.  

On Wednesday evening, 7th September, Eglish play Cappagh in the Grade 1 League quarter final in Killyclogher at 6.30pm.  

  

Under 13 Football 

The Under 13 League continues this Friday 9th September with Eglish travelling to Donaghmore.  Throw-in at 6.30pm.  The remaining games are as follows; Saturday 17th September away to Cookstown at 11am; Saturday 24th September home to Derrylaughan at 11am; Friday 30th September away to Clonoe at 6.45pm.  

  

Under 10 Go Games Football

There is an Under 10 Tournament in Moy this Saturday, 10th September.  

    

Over 30′s Recreational Football

Well done to the over 30’s team who defeated Truagh in the semi final of the Truagh Tournament last weekend.  The final is to be held this Sunday in Truagh.  The opposition and match time is to be confirmed.  

   

Cormac Trust 10K 2011

Thanks to everyone who came out to support the annual Cormac Trust 10K on Saturday.  Well done to all those who participated and special mention to Noel Donnelly who has now completed a 10K run in all the GAA clubs in Tyrone.  Noel was running on behalf of the Michaela Foundation which received a donation from the moneys raised.  

Details of the winners are as follows: 1st Male Steven Duncan 31.11, 2nd Male Pearse McCullagh 35.38, 3rd Male Martin O’Hagan 36.39.  1st Female Sinead McCann 44.43, 2nd Female Mairead McGeough 47.10, 3rd Female Jenny Martin 47.12.  

   

Club Lotto

The Lotto result for Monday 29th August is as follows: winning numbers were 7, 10, 13 and 17.  There were five ‘Match 3’ winners: T. Muldoon, Paula McCann, P. Daly (EBM), Cailin Murtagh and Anita Kolucgly.    Lotto Jackpot for Monday 5th September is £3,350.  

  

Gym Circuits

Male and Female Adult Gym Circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym on Wednesday evenings from 7.45pm to 9pm and on Sunday mornings.  Everyone welcome.  There are also Gym Sessions for Under 12′s and Under 14′s on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8pm.  For further details contact Matt McGleenan on 07717712177.
