Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting was held last Sunday in the Club Rooms at the Sports Hall. A good crowd was in attendance and our outgoing Chairman Kieran Hagan began by welcoming everyone. The usual formalities followed and concluded with the election of the following officers: Honourary President, Fr. Peter McAnenly; Chairman, Kieran Hagan; Vice-Chairmen, Frank McKillion and Canice Murtagh; Secretary, Sheila McKenna; Assistant Secretary, Orla Daly; Treasurer, Liz Daly; Assistant Treasurer, Ruairi Martin; Youth Officer, Michael McKenna; Cultural Officer, Seamus Donnelly; PRO, Gerard Jones; Committee Members, Paul Donaghy, Sean Donaghy, Eamon Jordan, Roisin Jordan, Martin McConnell, Gerard McGuirk, Donal McAnallen, Declan McKeever, Ciaran McVeigh, Brian Murtagh, Christina Ann Quinn, Noeleen Treanor.
Senior Scór
Senior Scór starts at the end of January. Anyone interested in taking part or contributing should contact Seamus Donnelly or any committee member.
Club Lotto
The Lotto result for Monday 9th January was as follows: winning numbers were 7, 17, 19, and 23. There were four ‘Match 3’ winners: Caolan Daly, Teresa Muldoon, Aisling Byrne and Anita Koluch. The next Lotto draw is to be held on Monday 16th January, Jackpot is £4,200.
Tyrone Under 21 Panel
Well done to Gregory Jordan who has been named on the Tyrone Under 21 panel for the forthcoming Ulster Championship. This year Tyrone is scheduled to play Fermanagh in the Preliminary Round in Enniskillen on Wednesday 14th March at 8pm.
Coaching Conference
The Ulster GAA Council Coaching Conference is being held at the Glenavon House Hotel on Saturday 28th January. The conference will focus on Gaelic Games in education – teachers, coaches and educationalists are encouraged to participate. Gym Circuits
Male and Female Adult Gym Circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym on Wednesday evenings from 8pm to 9pm and on Sunday mornings from 9am to 10am. Everyone welcome.
Eglish Historical Society
Congratulations to the Eglish Historical Society on the launch of ‘A History of Eglish, where the Oona flows’ which was released before Christmas. The book covers all aspects of history, culture and life in the parish down through the years.
Sympathy
The club extends its sympathy to the McGeary family (Collegeland), Hughes family (Eglish and Dungannon) and the O’Gorman family (Caledon) on their recent bereavements.
