The following is a letter from Ciaran McLaughlin, Tyrone GAA Chairman:
A chairdre gaels,
I’m very sure you will all join with me in wishing the men from the “Hill” the very best next Sunday in the All-Ireland Junior Final. Many words have been said since their victory in the semi-final, very many of them less than complimentary. That can’t have been easy for the club and I commend the Committee, management and players for their handling of the whole matter and I sincerely hope their fairytale journey comes to the happiest of conclusions next Sunday.
We are Tyrone and we are very proud of that – no-one else, no matter how hard they try, can take that away from us. Next Sunday show everyone else who were are and how proud we are of our county and of our clubs.Let’s show the GAA world how we stand together. Some of you will be making the journey to support the the men from the Hill. Others will be going to Healy Park for the Allianz League match v Derry. All of us will be supporting both teams and, to show your support, I urge you all to wear your Club or County colours on Sunday at both games - both teams deserve to know we are behind them.
Tir Eoghain agus Doire Treasc Fheara a’Chnoic abú!
le gach dea-ghuí
Ciarán MacLochlainn
