Under 14 Football

The U-14 team lost the Final to a strong Strabane team.  The team had a excellent semi final win against the host club Fintona however this victory took a lot out of the team and although they showed great attitude and effort in the final.  The Strabane team was just too physically big and took their chances better.  Training continues on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 7pm and Saturday morning at 9am.

Thanks to all who made the journey to Fintona to support the team.

The Under 14’s begin their league campaign in Grade 3A on Tuesday 8th May at 7.15pm, with an away game against Moy.  This is followed by a home game v Naomh Mhuire (Edendork and Killyman amalgamation) on Monday 14th May at 7.30pm.

Sympathy

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of our former player and club member Paul Hughes.  Paul played for Eglish for many years from underage through to Senior level and also represented Tyrone at Minor and Under 21 level.  All at St. Patrick’s Eglish G.A.C. extend their deepest sympathy to the Hughes family at this difficult time.  Paul was a very popular character among all his friends and will be sadly missed by all within our club.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
