Adult Football

There were no adult fixtures last weekend as we held our Páirc Chormaic Gala Banquet last Saturday.

The seniors will play Greencastle at home this Friday 8 June at 8pm. The next few fixtures to follow that game are as follows: Sunday 17 June, away v Clonoe; Sunday 24 June, home v Kildress; Wednesday 4 July, away v Killyclogher; Sunday 8 July, home v Edendork.

The draw for the Tyrone Senior Championship is being held on Thursday evening in Kelly’s Inn, Garvaghey. Stay in touch on www.eglishgac.com for update on who Eglish’s opponents will be in the first round.

Under-18 (Minor) Football

Our Minors weren’t in action last week. Their next game is away to Moy on Friday 15 June at 7.30pm.

Under-16 Football

The Under-16’s were beaten in the league last weekend by Clonoe. Their next game is at home to Pomeroy on Tuesday 19 June at 7.30pm.

Under-14 Football

Our Under-14’s were defeated by Moy last week. Their next few fixtures are as follows: Friday 8 June at 7.30pm, home v Brockagh (please note, this fixture is to be confirmed); Wednesday 13 June at 7.30pm, away v Eskra; Saturday 16 June at 4.00pm, away (in Edendork) v Naomh Mhuire; Friday 22 June at 7.30pm, home v Fintona.

Under-10’s, 8’s & 6’s Football

Coaching for Under 6’s and Under 8’s is on-going on Thursday evenings, from 6pm to 7pm.

Páirc Chormaic Fundraising Draw Gala Banquet

With the new grounds officially opened all ticket sellers were out last week for the final push for fundraising in the Páirc Chormaic Development Draw. A large crowd gathered in Eglish Hall which had been transformed into an excellent, spacious function room. Great food was served and an enjoyable night was had by all. The annual awards for 2011 were announced at this special function and the following recipients collected their awards from special guest Gerard Tracey: Minor Player of the Year, Aaron Daly; Reserve Player of the Year, Eugene Daly; Senior Player of the Year, Conall McNulty; Club Person of the Year, Sheila McKenna and Kieran Hagan (joint winners). Congratulations to all recipients.

An interval followed to provide a final opportunity for anyone wanting to purchase another ticket in the draw. Eventually the large ticket drum was closed and then all tickets were spun around. Our guest for the evening, Gerard Tracey, assisted our club chairman Kieran Hagan and camogie chairperson, Ciara Kerr, with the draw. The following are the lucky winners:

Club Lotto

The Lotto result for Monday 28 May was as follows: winning numbers were 2, 3, 5 and 22. There were five ‘Match 3’ winners; Clare Barrett, Caroline Cotter, Barry Treanor, James Devlin and Rachael McKearney. The next Lotto draw will be held on Monday 4 June, Jackpot is £5,150.

Ulster SFC 1st Round Armagh v Tyrone in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh

Best of luck to Conor McKenna (player), Kevin Hughes (coach) and Mickey Donnelly (manager) and all involved with Tyrone Minors this weekend when they play Armagh in first round of the Ulster Championship.
