U16s
Well done to the U16s who can now look forward to a Championship Final meeting with Donaghmore after defeating Fintona on Saturday in the Semi Final. In what was an entertaining game considering the weather conditions, Eglish dominated the first half with the aid of the breeze and had a comfortable lead at half time. Fintona made use of the wind in the second half and drew level with five minutes remaining, but Eglish knocked over a free in the final minutes for the victory on a scoreline of 5-8 to 5-7. At time of writing the final has been fixed for Saturday 9 November with venue TBC.
U13s
The U13 Grade 3 League final preceded the U16 Semi Final in Galbally but unfortunately the outcome in this game wasn’t the same. Eglish put in a brave any battling effort but weren’t able to break down a very good Rock side and lost on a scoreline of 4-6 to 2-5. A massive thanks to all the U13s and management who put in a tremendous effort throughout the year.
Camogie
Hard luck to the Camogie girls, who were cruelly beaten in the final moments of the Ulster Intermediate Championship at the hands of Liatroim on Sunday
