Eglish welcomed Coalisland to Paric Chormaic at the weekend in the final Divison 1 league game requiring at least a draw to secure Division 1 status for next year. Eglish made a blistering start and were 0-6 to 0-1 up with in ten minutes with scores coming Gregory Jordan, Damian Jordan, Peter McCann, Ciaran Colton and Sean McKillion. Coalisland extended that gap after the break to six points 0-11 to 1-14. Emmet McKenna kick-started what was an exciting and frantic final 12 minutes in which Sean McKillion and Conor McKenna each scored two points each to leave a point in the game.
