Derry League
Last Friday night the seniors travelled to Bellaghy to begin their campaign in the Derry League. Right from the throw in to the final whistle it was a physical and intense battle. The Eglish girls had built up a good lead by half time but two goals in quick succession in the second half left Eglish behind by two points. However the fighting spirits of the girls protruded and at the final whistle Eglish won by two points.
This Friday the seniors host Swatragh in Pairc Cormac at 7.15pm. This is sure to be another hard fought and exciting match. Good luck to everyone involved.
Senior training continues in Fr. Connolly Park on Wednesday at 6.15pm.
Two in a row for U14s
Last Friday night the U14s recorded an impressive victory when they defeated their close rivals Dungannon in the second round of the league. After a tense first half, the Eglish girls were able to find their form in the second half and put the Dungannon side to bed.
They now face Derrytresk this Friday, 11th, at home in Pairc Cormac when they will try to make it 3 out of 3 league wins.
