AGM
The annual AGM took place on Friday 13th January at 7pm. It was very poorly attended which was extremely disappointing. The camogie club is a strong part of the community and many girls and also parents reap the benefits year after year. However, it does not run by itself; much organisation goes on behind the scenes and we need everyone’s support.
Despite the small turnout, the following officers were elected; Chairperson – Brenda Horsfield, Vice Chairperson – Anne Burke, Secretary – Ursula Jordan, Assistant Secretary and Fixtures Secretary – Frankie Bigley, Treasurer – Mairead mason, Assistant Treasurer – Claire Daly, Registrar – Ciara McGready, PRO – Claire Jordan, Child Protection Officer – Edel Barrett, Development/Youth Officer – Kelley Fay and Barry Fay.
U14 Blitz
The Eglish U14s attended a 7 a side blitz on Saturday in the Meadowbank Sports Arena in Magherafelt. This was a great tournament with clubs from all over Ulster and the match practice made for a brilliant start to the U14 year!
Underage Training
Indoor training continues on Saturday at 4pm in the Sports Hall for Post Primary players up to U18s. Please wear trainers and bring a sock to cover the base of the hurl.
Miss Eglish
Just over three weeks until the big event! Some of the contestants have been spotted making more regular visits to the gym; another’s car was reportedly parked outside “Daly Beauty” for over 3 hours! We can’t wait to see the “Miss’s” in all their splendor on Saturday 14th March! Tickets are £10 and are available from any of the senior camogs!
