Football Club Notes

Senior Football

The Seniors played Lavey at the weekend in the final game of the Ulster League losing on a scoreline of Eglish 0-12 Lavey 3-5.

The Tyrone All County league fixtures for the year ahead have been released and the Seniors have eight homes games, Coalisland, Ardboe, Donaghmore, Trillick, Killyclogher, Clonoe, Errigal Ciaran and Dromore. The remaining games are away games, Augher, Moy, Strabane, Carrickmore, Dungannon, Greencastle and Omagh. The start of the league is likely to begin on Saturday 11 or Sunday 12 April with a home game versus Coalisland.

 Minors

The Minors had an encouraging win away to Pomeroy at the weekend on a scoreline of 2-16 to 4-7. There is no fixture this coming weekend.

U14s

The U14s had a good opening win over Moy last week winning 4-6 to 3-7. The U14s are away to neighbours Killeeshil on Saturday 14 March with a 11am  throw-in.

U10 Training

Training for U10s continues on Sundays at 12 noon.

Tyrone U21s

Best of luck to Colm Byrne who is on the Tyrone U21 panel and Lorcan Martin who is in the backroom team , on Wednesday 18 March in the Ulster Quarter-Final against Fermanagh in Healy Park at 8pm.

Good luck

The club would like to wish Mark Donnelly and the St Patrick’s Academy Dungannon team all the best of luck in the MacRory Cup Final on St Patrick’s day.  Dungannon face St Patrick’s Cavan in the Athletic Grounds Armagh at 1:15pm .

St Patrick’s Parade

All Eglish Youth are asked to assemble at the main football hall at 10am sharp on Sunday 15 March to take part in the parade to the Chapel for Sunday mass as part of the St Patrick’s day celebrations. We would ask everyone to wear their Eglish colours. Following mass the parade will return to the hall for refreshments. Everyone is welcome. Sunday morning mass is also our club mass for all deceased.

Merchandise

Club gear for all ages – hoodies, jerseys, bags, shorts, socks and hats are now available from Liz Daly (02837 548757).

Club Membership

Club membership for 2015 is now due for collection. Membership costs are as follows: Adults £30; Senior Citizens £10; Student £10; Youth £10. Membership can be paid following mass on Sunday 15 March in the sports hall. Note all membership is required to be paid before March 31st.

Congratulation s to Mark Daly on his marriage to Fionnuala Quinn and also congratulations to Gerard McLoughlin on his recent engagement to Helen Mulgrew and Steven Daly on his recent engagement to Laura Mooney.
