U16 League Champions
The U16s travelled to Fr Shields on Monday evening in search of a win to claim the league. With Monday being a bank holiday, the Eglish side headed to Greencastle with depleted numbers but this didn’t deter the girls from their goal of winning the league. An emphatic team performance and intense work rate throughout the pitch resulted in the Eglish girls coming away with a strong win and with it, the league title. Ten different players made their name onto the score sheet, showing just how versatile and skillful this team is. Final score, 21-15 ; 3-0. Congratulations to the team and mentors.
The next U16 game is the semifinal of the championship on 1st July when they play Dungannon. Training for U16s continues on Saturdays in preparation for this.
