Senior Football

The Seniors and Reserves both lost at the weekend to Strabane. The Reserves lost by a point on a scoreline of Strabane 1-11 Eglish 1-10. The Seniors were beaten by double scores Strabane 1-15 Eglish 2-3.The Seniors and Reserves are at home to Killyclogher on Sunday 10 May, Reserve game 2:15pm and Senior game 3:45pm

Minors

The Minors had a great battle with Coosktown in first round of the Championship last week, with the game going to extra time, Eglish were victorious winning on a scoreline of Eglish 3-14 Cookstown 4-8.

U14s

The U14s made the long journey to Greencastle last Saturday morning and in difficult conditions put on a great display, winning Eglish 5-6 Greencastle 3-5. The U14s travel to Stewartstown on Saturday 9 May with an 11am throw-in.

Scór Sinsear

Hard luck to our Scór Sinsear quiz team who missed out in the All-Ireland Final of Trath  na gCeist. The team put in a massive effort but unfortunately it wasn’t mean to be. We’d like to commend the team on their fantastic journey.

Tyrone Summer Camp

The Tyrone Summer Camp will run in Eglish this year from the Monday 6 July to Thursday 9 July. Due to the number of camps running throughout the county coaches are required to deliver the coaching programme. To be eligible to coach at the Tyrone Summer Camps all coaches must have completed a GAA Foundation Coaching Award and Child Protection training, are vetted through Tyrone GAA, are actively coaching within their own club and lastly are prepared  to attend the Summer Camp coaches training sessions. Tyrone U21s

Huge congratulations to Colm Byrne, Lorcan Martin and the Tyrone U21s who defeated Tipperary at the weekend in the All-Ireland Final to claim their fifth U21 title.

Tyrone v Donegal tickets

The club are now calling for requests for tickets for the Tyrone v Donegal Senior Championship game which takes place on 17 May in Ballybofey. Due to the large numbers of season  tickets that have been sold in both counties, there are only terrace tickets available. Any paid up club members who are seeking tickets for the game should send their request to Sheila McKenna on 07769783387 or Liz Daly on 07810060467 ASAP.

Strictly Showtime

The club are hosting Strictly Showtime on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 June. The dancers are currently being put through their paces, with quite a few characters involved this event promises to be two nights of high quality entertainment and craic with dancers of all ages and ability taking part.

2015 Gaeltacht grant

Applications forms are now available for Gaeltacht grants for 2015. Completed forms must be returned to the Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghey by 12 noon on Friday 15 May. Forms can be downloaded from our own website as well as the Tyrone website.

Club gear for all ages – hoodies, jerseys, bags, shorts, socks and hats are now available from Liz Daly (02837 548757).

Lotto

The Lotto No’s for Monday 27 April were 3,8,16,17. There were four match three winners; Joesph Jordan, Helen McKillion, Patrick Treanor and Terence + Martin Day. The next Lotto draw will be held on Monday 4 May 2015, Jackpot is £1,850.
