Senior Football

The Seniors and Reserves had mixed fortunes at the weekend when Killyclogher were visitors. The Reserves put on a great display and were convincing winners on a scoreline of Eglish 0-15 Killyclogher 0-5.

The Senior game was very competitive in the first half with little between the teams. Eglish playing against the breeze were helped with three points from Sean McKillion and points from Peter McCann, Conor McCann and Ciaran Colton leaving the half time score of Eglish 0-7 Killyclogher 0-9. Eglish made a great start to the second within 2 minutes of the restart had the game leveled with two good points coming from Emmet McKenna and Peter McCann. Unfortunately 9 minutes into the second half Eglish were reduced to fourteen with Conall McNulty receiving a red card. Killyclogher took full advantage with Eglish only managing to score a further point and Killyclogher kicked 1-7 with the goal coming in injury time.  Final score Eglish 0-10 Killyclogher 1-16.

Dates and venues have been released for the Senior Championship. There are two fixtures plans; one for Tyrone progressing in the USFC and another for Tyrone entering the qualifiers. If Tyrone defeat Donegal then Eglish will play Greencastle on Saturday 23 May in Galbally at 6:30pm. If Tyrone lose to Donegal then Eglish will play Greencastle on Sunday 31 May in Galbally 3:30pm.

U14s

The U14s continued their great form at the weekend with a win away to Stewartstown, Eglish 8-8 Stewartstown 5-4.

Tyrone Summer Camp

The Tyrone Summer Camp will run in Eglish this year from the Monday 6 July to Thursday 9 July. Registration for the 2015 Tyrone Summer Camps is now open. Application forms will be distributed to all Schools. Booking can be made over the telephone by calling the Tyrone GAA Centre on 028 85567723

Tyrone v Donegal

Best of luck to Ryan McKenna and the Tyrone Seniors on Sunday, when they take on Donegal in Ballybofey in the Ulster Senior Championship.

Strictly Showtime

The club are hosting Strictly Showtime on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 June. The dancers are currently being put through their paces, with quite a few characters involved this event promises to be two nights of high quality entertainment and craic with dancers of all ages and ability taking part.

2015 Gaeltacht grant

Applications forms are now available for Gaeltacht grants for 2015. Completed forms must be returned to the Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghey by 12 noon on Friday 15 May. Forms can be downloaded from our own website as well as the Tyrone website.

Local News

Congratulations to Gary Daly and Maeve O Neill on their recent engagement. Also congratulations to Conall and Catherine Martin on the recent birth of their baby girl.

Lotto

The Lotto No’s for Monday 4 May were 9,10,14,22. There were two match three winners Cassie Daly and Lorna McCann. The next Lotto draw will be held on Monday 11 May 2015, Jackpot is £1,900.
