Senior Football
The Seniors and Reserves both had well-earned wins at the weekend at the expense of Donaghmore. The Reserves won by two points in a very competitive game with the final scoreline Eglish 0-17 Donaghmore 2-9.
The Seniors dominated possession in the first half but weren’t able to make it significantly count on the scoreboard and lead by a single point at half time with scores coming from Peter McCann, Sean McKillion and Emmet McKenna – Eglish 0-8 Donaghmore 0-7. Eglish pounced on the restart and in a ten minute period and hit 1-4 without reply with a cracking solo goal coming from Conall McNulty. Donaghmore fought back and scored two goals in the last ten minutes but it wasn’t enough and Sean McKillion kicked the last score from a free to leave three between the sides at the finish, Eglish 1-15 Donaghmore 2-9.
Scorers: Peter McCann 0-6 (0-5f), Sean McKillion 0-4 (0-2f), Conall McNulty 1-0, Matthew Jordan 0-2 (0-1f), Emmet McKenna 0-1, Conor McCann 0-1, Michael Donnelly 0-1.

Strictly Showtime
Strictly once again proved to be huge success last weekend. More than 700 people turned out between the Friday and Saturday night in what turned out to be a great weekend for the club. After weeks of intense practice sessions and preparations the 20 dancers buoyed by the strong crowd put on a marvellous performance both nights. Lynette Fay compere for both nights’ ensured events ran smoothly. On Friday night Diane Daly and Mattie McGleenan were announced as the fundraiser winners with Ciara Donnelly and Corey Murtagh taking the judges vote. Saturday night really saw the dancers up their game with a bigger crowd and it was Maria Jordan and Stephen Quinn who were the fundraiser winners with Anne Burke and Ronan Daly winning the judges vote. Huge credit must go to the dancers and the effort they put in over the last number of weeks to make it two nights of high entertainment. Thanks to all the dancers, the sponsors, all those who attended the event and offered their support through fundraising and anyone who helped in any way.
