Senior Football
The Seniors made the short trip to Moy on Sunday evening. Moy were first to register on the scoreboard with a free but Peter McCann responded soon after with a long range free. Emmet McKenna was in fine form and was posing a real threat inside and kicked a fine point on ten minutes to put Eglish in front but a Moy free to leveled matters. A converted forty five from Ciaran Colton started a period of dominance from Eglish followed by a nice score from Eugene Daly and two great scores from Emmet McKenna. Moy knocked over a point from play and Peter McCann had the last score of the first half from a free. Eglish went in at half time Eglish 0-7 Moy 0-3 up and possibly could have been further ahead only for squandering a few goal chances.
Eglish opened the scoring in the second half as Conal McNulty blazed through and knocked over a point. Moy hit the net a few minutes later and followed that up with the three points on the bounce to put them a point ahead at 1-6 to 0-8. Eglish were dealt a blow on forty five minutes as Peter McCann received a red card, and were further in trouble when Moy scored a second goal a few minutes later to leave it 2-6 to 0-8. Eglish responded through a great score from Conor McCann and Emmet McKenna free. A Moy free left three between the sides but Eglish kept battling back with frees from Ryan and Emmet McKenna before Conor McCann laid Ciaran Colton off to kick the equalizing score with the last kick of the game. Full time Moy 2-7 Eglish 0-13
