Adult Football
Sunday saw the visit of Greencastle to Fr Connolly Park. Once again we were blessed with beautiful sunshine and Hopes were high as the Reserve team recorded their first win of the season, but this form did not continue as the Senior team went down by two points. Results, Reserve: Eglish 1-15 Greencastle 0-10, Senior: Eglish 2-12 Greencastle 2-14. Next up for the Seniors is Ardboe on Sunday 29th May in Ardboe, Reserve at 2.15, Senior at 3.45. However the reserves make the trip to Healy Park on Friday 20th for the rearranged reserve game against Omagh, throw in at 8.00pm.
All Under 21 players should be aware that the U21 KO commences on 7th June. Keep a watch on social media for updates.
Youth Football
Saturday saw Fintona make trip, for the second week in a row, to Fr Connolly Park. This time for the trip was for first round of the championship. On a sunny Saturday afternoon our boys were able to reverse the result of the previous weekend, being ahead by two points when the fulltime whistle was blown. Result: Eglish 4-12 Fintona 3-13. Next up is a home Quarterfinal against Edendork, currently scheduled for Thursday 26th May.
Under 6 & 8 Football continues on Thursday evening at 6pm in Fr Connolly Park, with the under 10s having a match in Pairc Chormaic at 6.30pm. There is also an Under 10 Blitz on Saturday, Venue is yet to be confirmed.
Good Luck to Matthew McGleenan, and all the Tyrone Minor panel, for the first round of the Ulster Minor Championship game, against Derry, on Sunday in Celtic Park.
