Football Notes 31st May

Adult Football

Seniors and Reserves travelled to Ardboe at the weekend for their All County League Fixtures. The Reserve team recorded their second win of the season but the Seniors were not as successful, finishing on the wrong side of the four point margin. Results: Reserve Ardboe 3-12 Eglish 3-14, Senior Ardboe 2-16 Eglish 1-15. This week we host 2015 Intermediate Champions Edendork, games are at the regular times of 2.15 and 3.45 in Fr Connolly Park.

Under 21 KO commences on 7th June, first up is Greencastle who make the Journey to Fr Connolly Park, Throw in 8.00. Games will continue through June and into July. We will be hosting Brackaville, and Kildress, while we will be travelling to Edendork, Beragh and Derrylaughan.

Youth Football

The Under 14 team successfully saw of the challenge of Edendork in their Championship Quarterfinal last Thursday evening. The Semifinal is scheduled for Thursday 9th June, venue and opposition are yet to be confirmed.

Under 16 Training has now commenced and continues on Saturdays at 12.30pm.

Under 6, 8 & 10 Football continues on Thursday evening at 6.15pm in Fr Connolly Park.

This year the club will be running our own “An Eaglais Le Chéile” Summer Camp. This will take place from 4th-7th July. Commencing daily at 10:00am in Fr Connolly Park. More details will be available at the Thursday night session and at schools over the coming week.

On Saturday 4th June Dungannon Regional PTAA are holding a Summer Barbecue, in St Patrick’s Hall, Eglish. Food will served from 8.15pm. Tickets are £12.50 and can be obtained from Brian Jordan or Maura Daly. Special Guest appearance by Derek Ryan.
