EGLISH goes GAA-GA
In conjunction with the GAA centenary celebrations of 1916 and the clubs Diamond Jubilee, Eglish St Patricks GAC are staging a musical production which will showcase the extensive talent within the parish.
Based on how entertainment has evolved over the past century, this musical extravaganza will feature song, dance, comedy and more. Imagine the musical styles of 1916 through the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. The big swing bands of the 50’s, the mini-skirted ladies of the 60’s the longhaired lads of the 70’s. Through the showbands, Punk, Disco and country eras. There will be something for everyone to enjoy, young and old.
The show, produced by Bronagh Murtagh and Choreographed by Lauren Hamill, will be an amalgam of Strictly Come Dancing, The Voice, X-Factor and many more. There will be many local acts will battling it out to be crowned our most talented, decided by audience vote and Judges score.
We invite anyone who wants to join in this exciting production to assemble in the Sports hall at 7.30pm on Monday 25th July. This is your opportunity to meet the production team and obtain more information about the show. The Show is scheduled for weekend of 21st and 22nd of October.
