Eglish GFC in conjunction with Emyvale Boxing Club is presenting an
evening of amateur boxing in Eglish Community Sports Hall on Friday December
1st.
An exciting fight bill of 10 contests has been lined up for the event.
It will feature experienced boxers from Emyvale Boxing Club and complete
novices from Eglish, Tullysaran, Aghaloo, Moy and Killyman GAA clubs.
The fight night will be run in a professional manner with all measures
of safety include for the boxers. Our partnership with Emyvale Boxing
Club will ensure the fighters get the best possible preparation in terms of
fitness and technique, having completed 10 weeks of intensive training
under the guidance of Mickey Treanor and Adrian Geary, in the run up
to the big event.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the future development of
the club and it affords local businesses and families the opportunity to
sponsor an individual fight or boxer. So please come along on Friday
December 1st and enjoy a night of high adrenalin and excitement. On
the night doors open at 7pm with first bout at 8.30pm. Admission is £20 by
ticket or pay at the door. Over 18’s only. Host and MC on the night is
Martin McCarron.
As a prelude to the main event the club is hosting a weigh-in/launch
night on Friday November 17th at 9pm in the Community Sports Hall. The
boxers will find out on the night who their direct opponent will be as they
enter the final two weeks of training. Admission to this event is free.
