Football Club Notes

Senior Football

The Seniors welcomed St Eunan’s Letterkenny to Eglish on Sunday in the Ulster Club League.  The game ended in a draw Eglish 0-12 St Eunan’s 1-9.  The Seniors make the long journey to the most northerly point of Ireland on Sunday 1 February, to play Malin in the penultimate Ulster League game.

Tyrone Senior Championship Draw

The draw for the Tyrone Senior Championship took place in Garvaghey on Monday night past.  Eglish were drawn against Greeencastle in the first round with the winners playing either Dungannon or Trillick in the Quarter Finals.

Minors

The Minors made the short trip to the Moy on Sunday in their first league game. The game was abandoned close to half time as Matthew McGleenan was taken to hospital with a broken leg. The club would like to send our sincere best wishes to Matthew for a speedy recovery. The club would also like to wish Minor player Kevin Muldoon a speedy recovery after breaking his collarbone playing last week. The minor’s next fixture is a home game versus Cookstown on Sunday 1 March at 3:30pm.

U14s

The U14 fixtures and dates have also been released. The U14s as well face Moy in their opening fixture on the 7 March in Eglish. A full list fixtures can be found on our website.

U10 Training

Training for U10s continues on Sundays at 12 noon.

Scór Sinear

Congratulations to our Scór Sinear Quiz team on winning a County title in Trath na gCeist at Tyrone County Final at the weekend. Our Quiz team comprising Donal McAnallen, Cathal Daly, Richard Mason and Gerard Jones now progress to the All Ireland Final which will take place on Saturday 25th April in the City West Hotel, Dublin.

Tyrone U21s

Well done to Colm Bryne and the Tyrone U21s who defeated Monaghan at the weekend to win the Cremartin Cup.

Good luck

Good luck to Mark Donnelly and the Dungannon Academy MacRory team who paly St Paul’s Bessbrook in the MacRory Semi-Final on Friday 27 February in the Athletic Grounds at 7:30pm.

St Patrick’s Parade

Our annual St Patrick’s Day Parish Parade will take on 15 March. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

Club gear for all ages – hoodies, jerseys, bags, shorts, socks and hats are now available from Liz Daly (02837 548692).

Club Membership

Club membership for 2015 is now due for collection. Membership costs are as follows: Adults £30; Senior Citizens £10; Student £10; Youth £10. Payment can be made to club Registrar Canice Murtagh or any member of the club committee.

Lotto

The Lotto No’s for Monday 23 February were 2,14,20,22. There were no winners. The next Lotto draw will be held on Monday 2 March 2015, Jackpot is £1,450.
