Derry League
On Friday 8th, the seniors made the long journey to Coleraine to take on Eoghan Rua. The drive up seemed to have an effect on the players as the Eglish girls got off to a slow start, 1-08 to 0-4 at half time. The second half saw the Eglish side increase their intensity but a dominant Eoghan Rua ran out the easy victors. Final score: 5-12 to 1-07.
Last Friday night the seniors travelled to Lavey in search of a win but unfortunately lost by one point at the final whistle.
The Derry League takes a break for the next few weeks. Next game scheduled for 12th June, at home to Newbridge.
Speedy Recovery
The Camogie Club sends their best wishes to Maria Jordan for a speedy recovery from her broken arm which she unfortunately received towards the end of the second half in Coleraine. Thankfully you should be well mended for your big day in December!

Next Monday, 25th, the girls are away to Brocagh. Game details will be provided to players at training this week.
Gael Linn Champions
Huge congratulations to the Ulster Gael Linn team who were crowned inter-provincial champions on Sunday in Portlaoise. In the semi-final the girls overcame a strong Leinster side wining 3-16 to 3-12. Just 30 minutes later they took to the pitch to play Munster in the final with a convincing win 3-16 to 1-10. Special congratulations to our own club girls on the team, Ciara Donnelly, Ciara McGready and Siobhan Hughes.

Academy Ulster Success
Congratulations to St. Patrick’s Academy U14s who defeated Sacred Heart Grammar Newry in Armagh on Monday 11th May to collect the coveted Ulster title! Special well done to those girls from Eglish on the team, Francine Farley, Regan Fay and Maddie McKee – terrific achievement girls!

The Tyrone Feile will take place in Drerylaughan on Sunday 31st May at 9.30am. Further details and arrangements will be given to the girls at training.
Underage Training
U16 training takes place this Saturday morning; 9am – 10am.
U14 training is on Wednesday evening at 5.45pm – 6.45pm and again on Saturday morning, 10am – 11am.
Post primary training on Saturday as normal, 10am – 11am.
Tiny Tots training continues on Saturday, 10am – 11am. We would be extremely grateful if any of the parents that stay for the hour would help out, even just by encouraging the kids or aiding them with helmets/toilet breaks. If this is something that you would be available for, just make yourself known to the coach on the morning of training – it does not need to be a commitment, just as and when you can.
Reminder for all training; please take your stick, boots, shin guards (advisable) and a water bottle and come appropriately dressed for the weather.
Well Wishes
The next few weeks in May and June see a number of our players across the teams undertaking important exams. The Club and its members would like to wish all the girls the very best of luck both in their study preparation and actual exams.
Quiz Night
The Camogie Club is hosting a Quiz Night on Friday 29th May in support of our dancers taking part in Strictly in June. Teams of 6, £5 per person.
