Camogie Club Notes

Post Primary Action

Congratulations to the Post Primary team who beat Dungannon in the semifinal of the Championship on Monday evening to secure their place in the final on Monday 29th June.

Tyrone Feile

Congratulations to this year’s feile team who won the Tyrone Feile Cup on Sunday morning in Derrylaughan. The girls went through the tournament with a clean sweep, beating Brocagh, Dungannon, Edendork and Derrytresk in the group stage and had an emphatic win over Edendork in the final. Well done to all the girls and management. This is great preparation for the All Ireland Feile on the 19th, 20th and 21st June. Many thanks to Derrylaughan for hosting the tournament.

Underage Training

Training for post primary to U18 continues on Saturday morning, 10am – 11am.

Tiny Tots training will continue as normal this Saturday morning, 10am-11am.

Please remember to send girls suitably dressed for the weather. We recommend that all girls buy their own stick and bring it to training. Football boots, shin guards and a water bottle are also advised. Please do not send sports drinks.

Lastly, for this small age group, the club would be appreciative of any help from parents, especially when there are large numbers. If you are interested, please make yourself known to some of the coaches on the morning of training.

Go Game Blitz

Last Saturday morning, almost 40 girls travelled to Brocagh for the second Go Games Blitz of the year. Thankfully the rain stayed away and the girls enjoyed several matches. Many thanks to all the parents who made the effort to come and support their kids. Also thanks to Brocagh Club for such a well organised tournament and for the refreshments they provided.

Well Wishes

The next few weeks see a number of our players across the teams undertaking important exams. The Club and its members would like to wish all the girls the very best of luck both in their study preparation and exams.

Quiz Night

The Camogie Club would like to thank all of those who joined in the club rooms on Friday night for our Quiz night. Special thanks to Tony Mason for his excellent quiz master duties.
