Travel notice for fans attending Tyrone v Donegal in Clones on Sunday 26th June

Traffic diversions for Sunday 26th June, 2011 – Ulster Semi-Final Tyrone -v- Donegal at St. Tiernach’s Park, Clones, Co. Monaghan.

Patrons travelling to the Tyrone v Donegal match should be warned that some delays will be experienced on route to Clones, Co. Monaghan this Sunday, 26th June, in view of the following events:

  • Monaghan Town will be hosting the International ‘”Forge In” Festival from the 23rd to the 26th June.  On Sunday, traffic entering Monaghan via the N2 north will be advised to travel via the by-pass from the first Roundabout to the second roundabout at Corlatt, Monaghan where they will turn right and continue towards the Traffic lights onto the N54 to Clones.  The town centre at Church Square will be closed to vehicular traffic.  Traffic entering via Glaslough Street will divert onto Dublin Street.
  • Scotstown Area will be hosting the National Road Race Cycling Championship on Sunday 26th. June.  Spectators travelling via the old Monaghan road on the R186 Clogher to Tydavnet will experience some delays as rolling road closures will be in existence for various periods on this stretch.  Spectatotors are advised to take alternative route via Fivemiletown, Cunnian and Roslea, Co. Fermanagh.  This event terminates at 2.30pm and no delays are expected on return journey.

Diversion signs will be in existence and spectators are advised to co-operate with Gardai and stewards on duty.
