EGLISH ST. PATRICK’S G.A.C. CLUB NOTES

Adult Football

There were no adult fixtures last weekend.  The next league game is away to Moy this Wednesday evening, 29th June.  Reserves at 7.00pm and Seniors at 8.15pm.  This is followed by a home game against Moortown on Wednesday 6th July, away to Omagh on Sunday 24th July, away to Derrylaughan on 7th August and away to Greencastle on 14th August.

Minor Football

Best of luck to Matthew Jones and Philip Barker who are on the Tyrone Minor team that play Cavan in the Ulster Championship in Brewster Park, Enniskillen this Sunday, 3rd July.  Throw-in at 7.00pm.  Details of re-fixture of the Grade 1 Minor Football League quarter-final between Eglish and Dromore will be confirmed after this match.

Under 16 Football

Our Under 16’s are away to Naomh Mhuire this Friday, 1st July.  The game is being played in Edendork, throw-in at 7.30pm.

Under 12 Football

The Under 12’s next match in the Go Games competition is an away game to Pomeroy on Monday 27th June at 7.00pm.  This is followed by a home game against Dungannon on Saturday 2nd July at 11.00am.

Recreational Football

The next round of games in the recreational football for over 30’s is on this Friday evening at the Mid-Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown.  All players are to be in Cookstown for 7.00pm.  If interested contact Barry Fay on 07702877233.  Everyone welcome.

Tyrone Development Squads

Good luck to Kevin Muldoon, Kevin McConnell, Mark Donnelly and Cathal McGready who are currently on trials for the Tyrone Under 14 School of Excellence.  Well done to Enda McElroy, Colin Byrne and Sean Muldoon who are playing on the Tyrone Under 16 Development Squad and to Conor McKenna who is playing on the Tyrone Under 15 Development Squad.  Well done also to Ryan Jones who played for Tyrone Under 21 hurlers in the Ulster Shield Final last weekend against Donegal.

Club Lotto

Winning Lotto numbers for Monday 20th June were 3, 9, 20 and 23.  There were three Match 3 winners: Roisin Jordan, Matthew Jones and Terry Lunny.  Lotto Jackpot for Monday 27th June is £2,950.

Tyrone Summer Camp

The club encourages all underage players to participate in the Tyrone Summer Camps.  It is due to be held in Eglish from Monday 4th July to Thurdsay 7th July.  Everyone should register as soon as possible.  There is a £5 discount offered on all registrations received before this Thursday, 30th June.  Application forms can be downloaded from www.tyronegaa.ie.

Coaching Course: Level 1 Children’s Course

There will be a Level 1 Children’s Course run in Holy Trinity College, Cookstown, commencing this Wednesday morning, 29th June, at 9:30am.  There currently are a number of places available on the course which is being run free of charge for coaches who have expressed an interest in coaching at the summer camps.  If anyone would like to avail of this course can they please get in contact with Anne Daly (Tyrone Games Development Officer) on either anne.daly.gda.tyrone@gaa.ie or 028 82249060 / 07894642983.  All participants must have previously completed the Foundation Coaching Award.  This is the first time the course is being run within Tyrone and anyone interested should avail of the opportunity to get the Level 1 Coaching Award at no cost.  The course will focus specifically on coaching children up to twelve years of age.

Sympathy

The club extends its deepest sympathy to the McGahon family, McAleer family and the family of Fr. John Murphy, former Eglish Parish Priest, on their recent bereavements.
