The famous Knockmany Cup which hosts the schools from the Clogher Valley and beyond was hosted again by Mrs Gemma Quinn from Aughadarragh PS on Friday. The day will be long remembered by the boys of Eglish as they over came five schools to gain a semi-final spot against St. Mary’s Ballygawley. After a brilliant match, Roan narrowly won to set up a final with St. Mary’s Cabragh. A titanic struggle ensued in the final with the Kileeshil lads a point in front at half time. Jean McVeigh and Jack Muldoon steadied the ship before Locran Hegarty goaled for the Eglish team who held on for a very celebrated win. This was an unbelievable three victories in a row and a a real credit to the boys.
