EGLISH ST. PATRICK’S G.A.C. CLUB NOTES

Adult Football

Our Senior team was knocked out of the championship by Moortown last Sunday.  Final Score Moortown 1-10, Eglish 0-12.  The date and venue of the Division 1 Reserve Championship First Round game against Moortown is to be announced next week.

The last remaining league game is away to Derrylaughan and is scheduled for Saturday 3rd September, Reserves at 2.15pm and Seniors at 3.45pm.

Under 21 Football

The groups for the Under 21 Championship were released last week.  There are three teams in each group with the top team proceeding to the knock-out stages.  Eglish are in a group with Donaghmore and Dungannon.

Under 16 Football

Our Under 16’s were beaten by Ardboe at home last week.  Final score Eglish 2-05, Ardboe 5-15.  They were due to travel to Donaghmore for an away league game on Monday 22ndAugust but this game has been cancelled.  Their next league game is away to Coalisland on Wednesday 24th August.  Throw-in is at 7.30pm.

Eglish will play Ardboe in the First Round of the Grade 1 Under 16 Championship on Saturday 27th August at 11am.  Venue to be confirmed.

Under 13 Football

The Under 13 League begins on Saturday 3rdSeptember.  Eglish will play Moy in Fr. Connolly Park in their first game.  This will be followed by: Saturday 10thSeptember away to Donaghmore; Saturday 17thSeptember away to Cookstown; Saturday 24thSeptember home to Derrylaughan.  Throw in for all games are at 5pm.

Under 10 Go Games Football

Thanks to all who attended and helped at the latest round of Under 10 Go Games held in Cookstown last weekend.

Ulster Club Camogie Championship

Our Camogie counterparts are participating in the First Round of the Ulster Club Championship.  They play the Down champions, Ballycran or Clonduff, in Fr. Connolly Park on Sunday 4th September at 1pm.  We would encourage as many as possible to come out to cheer on the girls.

Cormac Trust 10K 2011

In 2009 The Cormac Trust held a very successful 10K & Fun Run with over 300 participants having completed the courses. And we are pleased to announce another 10K and Fun Run this year, on Saturday 3rd Sept, again with a similar format, based around Eglish Parish and starting in Eglish village, at 1pm.

This year a contribution from the moneys raised will also be given to the Michaela Foundation

Entry for either race is £10.  All participants get a free goody bag which includes a themed T-Shirt for the race.

Club Lotto

The Lotto result for Monday 15th July is as follows: winning numbers were 9, 10, 11 and 15.  There were no ‘Match 3’ winners.    Lotto Jackpot for Monday 22nd August is £3,250.

Gym Circuits

Male and Female Adult Gym Circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym on Wednesday evenings from 7.45pm to 9pm and on Sunday mornings.  Everyone welcome.  There are also Gym Sessions for Under 12′s and Under 14′s on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8pm.  For further details contact Matt McGleenan on 07717712177.
