Football Club Notes – 05/03/2012

Under 16 Football

Our Under 16’s were first to take to the field for competitive football this season when they travelled to Killyman to play Naomh Mhuire in the Grade 1 League.  The lads put in a great performance and came away with a win.  Final score Noamh Mhuire 1-09, Eglish 2-13.

The next few fixtures for our Under 16’s are as follows: Saturday 10th March at 4pm, home v Stewartstown; Saturday 24th March at 4pm, away v Coalisland; Saturday 31st March at 4pm, at home v Clonoe.

Tyrone Development Squad

Well done to Colm Byrne, Sean Muldoon and Enda McElroy who are currently training with the Tyrone Under 17 Development Squad and to Kevin Muldoon, Kevin McConnell, Cathal McGready and Mark Donnelly who are training with the Tyrone Under 15 Development Squad

Corn na Og Success

Well done to Mark Donnelly who played for St. Patrick’s Academy in their successful win in the Corn na nOg final recently.

Tyrone Under 21′s

Tyrone Under 21’s won the Cremartin Cup recently when they defeated Monaghan in the final.  Well done to Gregory Jordan who is on the Tyrone Under 21 panel.  This is good preparation for their preliminary round fixture against Fermanagh in the Ulster Championship next Wednesday evening, 14th March in Brewster Park, Enniskillen at 8pm.

Underage Kick Start

The Kick-Start programme for coaching and games for Under 6’s, Under 8’s and Under 10’s boys and girls has began and is being held on Monday evenings, from 6.45-7.45pm, sharp.  Everyone welcome and all help appreciated.

Club Membership

Club membership for 2012 is now being collected.  Membership can be paid at the Sports Hall after Mass on Saturday evening from 8.15 to 8.30pm and on Sunday morning, from 11.45 to 12.00midday.  We’d like to see all existing club members re-new their membership for 2012 and we welcome any new members for the year ahead.  Membership costs as follows: Adults £30; Senior Citizens £10; Student £10; Youth £10.

Senior Scor

Best of luck to our Quiz Team who are competing in the Ulster Scór semi-final in Glenswilly, Co. Donegal this Friday 9th March.

Club Lotto

The Lotto result for Monday 27th February was as follows: winning numbers were 7, 10, 12, and 23.  There were nine ‘Match 3’ winners; Lisa Gildernew, Teresa Muldoon, Anne Feeney, Imelda Murtagh, Colin Holmes, Josie Daly, Orla Daly, Liz Daly and Ronan Donnelly.  The next Lotto draw is to be held on Monday 5th March, Jackpot is £4,550.

Sympathy

The club extends its sympathy to Kearny family (Armagh) on their recent bereavement.
