GAA Easter Camp for Children with Mild Learning Disabilities (MLD)

Many of you have seen the great work that has been done to remove the barriers to participation with increasing the accessibility and opportunities for adults with (MLD) to play Gaelic games, in particular at Healy Park (Omagh), Clones and in the near future at Croke Park.

The GAA Easter Camp initiative on Thursday 12th April at 2.30-4.30pm in Dungannon Leisure Centre will commence plans to develop a team for children with MLD to represent Tyrone at National League half time games.  This opportunity will increase childrens’ confidence and self esteem, and to be part of a team. Many parents of children with a classroom assistant have been enquiring about such initiatives.  See www.eglishgfc.com for more details.
