Adult Football
The start of the Division 1 Senior and Reserve leagues has been pushed back due to the continued run of the Tyrone Under 21’s in the Ulster Championship. The first game is now to be away to Derrylaughan on Sunday 15th April, Reserve 2.15pm and Senior 3.45pm. Please note, this is provisional and is likely to change.
Under 18 (Minor) Football
The Under 18’s began their league campaign in Grade 2A with a home game against Gael Naomh Padraig (Augher and Clogher amalgamation). Final score Eglish 1-12 Gael Naomh Padraig 0-08. Their next game is away to Naomh Padraig (Derrytresk and Brockagh amalgamation) on Friday 13th April at 7.00pm.
The next few fixtures after that are as follows: Tuesday 17th April at 7pm, at home v Stewartstown; Wednesday 25th April at 7pm, away v Kildress; Wednesday 9th May at 7.15pm, at home v Moortown. Friday 18th May at 6.45pm, away v Derrylaughan.
The draw for the Minor Championship was made last week. Eglish will play Beragh in Beragh on a date to be confirmed.
Under 16 Football
There was no game for the Under 16’s last week. Their next game is away to Pomeroy on Tuesday 10th April at 6.00pm.
The next few fixtures after that are as follows: Friday 20th April at 7pm, at home v Naomh Mhuire (Edendork and Killyman amalgamation); Saturday 5th May at 4pm, away v Stewartstown; Saturday 12th May at 4pm, at home v Coalisland; Saturday 2nd June at 4pm, away v Clonoe.
The draw for the Under 16 Championship was made last week. Eglish will play Dromore in Fr. Connolly park, Eglish, on a date to be confirmed.
Under 14 Football
The Under 14’s begin their league campaign in Grade 3A on Tuesday 8th May at 7.15pm, with an away game against Moy. This is followed by a home game v Naomh Mhuire (Edendork and Killyman amalgamation) on Monday 14th May at 7.30pm.
Eglish will play Greencastle in the Under 14 Championship, date and venue to be confirmed.
Under 8 and Under 6 Football
Coaching has commenced from 6pm to 7pm on Thursday evenings for Under 6’s and Under 8’s. It will continue at this time on Thursday evenings for the remainder of the season. Sean Murtagh will be in contact with parents directly reference Under 10’s who will be coached separately. All parents are reminded that club membership is now due for 2012.
Tyrone Under 21’s
Well done to Tyrone Under 21’s who qualified for the Ulster Final after a good win over Down in the Semi-Final last week in Casement park, Belfast. Good luck to Gregory Jordan and the rest of his Under 21 colleagues in the Ulster Final against Cavan this Wednesday 11th April in Brewster Park, Enniskillen at 8pm.
Club Membership
Club membership for 2012 is still being collected. Membership can be paid at the Sports Hall after Mass on Sunday morning, from 11.45 to 12.00midday. We’d like to see all existing club members re-new their membership for 2012 and we welcome any new members for the year ahead. Membership costs as follows: Adults £30; Senior Citizens £10; Student £10; Youth £10.
Club Lotto
The Lotto result for Monday 2nd April was as follows: winning numbers were 1, 9, 10, and 18. There was one ‘Match 3’ winners; Patrice Barrett. The next Lotto draw is to be held on Monday 16th April, Jackpot is £4,800.
Galbally 3 & 5 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Well done and thanks to all who turned up to support the Galbally Community Support Fund last Saturday.
Gym Circuits
Male and Female Adult Gym Circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym on Wednesday evenings from 8pm to 9pm. Everyone welcome.
Sympathy
