Senior
All roads lead to Derry this Sunday 27th October when Eglish play Liatroim in the Ulster final in Owenbeg Centre of Excellence at 1pm.
Eglish have played Liatroim competitively twice this year already. Firstly, earlier in the year, in the Ulster League when Liatroim secured a convincing win, and secondly, a few weeks ago in the round robin section of the Ulster championship when it was Eglish’s turn to be on the winning side. Neutral camogie fans would say there is nothing between the two sides skill wise, rather passion and determination will be the only factors that will influence Sunday’s outcome.
Last year the girls lost out narrowly to Down Champions Ballycran in the Ulster final, making it 22 years from the club has won an Ulster title. We hope this year will put an end to a very long wait and we wish Jim, Barry and the whole team the very best of luck on Sunday in the final.
Well Done
Well done to Francine Farley, Regan Fay and Clionah Goodfellow who were selected to play between the Junior and Intermediate men’s senior football final’s on Sunday in Healy Park. This was a brilliant achievement and the girls played terrific in front of such a large crowd!
