AGM
The AGM took place last Friday evening and the following officers for 2014 were elected; Chairperson – Brenda Horsfield, Secretary – Ursula Jordan, Treasurer – Mairead Mason, Registrar – Ciara McGready, Fixtures Secretary – Frankie Bigley, Youth Officer – Catherine Farley, Child Protection Officer – Edel Barrett and Development Officer – Kelley Fay.
Membership
Membership for 2014 is now due and can be paid to any committee member. Due to Ulster Club Council increasing their fees required from all clubs in 2014 we have had to increase our membership costs this year to cover this. Seniors – £35, Students – £25, Non-playing members – £20, U18 – £20. Family concession of £20 for first playing member and £15 for each playing member thereafter.
Underage Coaches Meeting
There will be a meeting for all underage coaches on Monday 10th February in the clubrooms at 8.30pm. Please make an effort to attend this meeting.
Underage Training
Underage training continues this Friday night in the sports hall but is now open to a wider age group of players. 6pm – 7pm; P3, P4 and P5. 7pm – 8pm; P6 – U14. Please bring your stick and helmet, a water bottle and wear appropriate footwear.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Leona Gallagher who has been so deservedly nominated for Volunteer of the Year for 2013. Leona will enjoy a day out at Croke Park with other volunteers from all the counties in Ireland. Leona does enormous work for the development and promotion of camogie both at club and county level whilst also still coaching and playing. We at Eglish Camogie Club are extremely proud of Leona and also very privileged to have such a Gael part of our Club.
