Congratulations to the Eglish St. Patrick’s Post Primary camogie team who won the Tyrone Post-Primary Championship – the Bridie McMenamin Shield – on Monday evening in Moy. In a close encounter the girls defeated Dungannon. Dungannon had started the better of the two sides and went in at half time leading by five points. However Eglish came out more determined in the second half and got a few quick points and went on to score a number of goals, with the defence being very tight throughout. Bridie McMenamin’s daughter presented the shield to the Eglish captain Catherine Donnelly. Well done to all the girls and their coaches Leona Gallagher and Kelley Fay.
Final score: Eglish 4-6, Dungannon 0-2.
