Senior Football
Eglish Seniors were beaten last weekend in the Ulster Senior Club League by Glenullin on a scoreline of 1:13 to 1:9. Their final game in Group C is at home to Castleblaney on Sunday 3rd March.
Minor and U14 Football
The Minor and U14 fixtures for the season ahead have been released. The Minors start their campaign in Grade 1A with a home fixture against Edendork on Saturday 2nd March. The U14s are in Grade 3A and begin with a home game on Saturday 9th March against Gael Naomh Pádraig. For a full list of fixtures for both teams please visit the website www.eglishgac.com.
Under 8 and Under 10 Football
Coaching for these age groups continues on Sundays from 12:15 to 1:15pm in the Sports Hall. It will run until March 10th. Players should bring a water bottle, football boots and trainers as well as tracksuit bottoms. Weather permitting some training will be held outside.
Gaelic Start Programme
The Gaelic Start programme for 4 to 9 year olds continues on Mondays at 6:45pm. The final session will be on Monday 25th February. Please note that at least one parent/guardian must attend with their child/children as advised by the Tyrone County Board.
Club Membership
Club membership for 2013 is now due for collection, and must be paid by the 31st March. We’d like to see all existing members renew their membership for 2013 and welcome any new members for the year ahead. Membership costs are as follows: Adults £30; Senior Citizens £10; Student £10; Youth £10. For the next number of weeks membership can be paid in the Sports Hall following Sunday morning mass.
On receipt of membership fee, youth players will be provided with a boil and bite gum shield. Please see the Eglish or Tyrone GAA websites for more detail on the new rule which requires all youth players to wear gum shields at coaching sessions and matches from 1st January 2013
Club Gear
Club gear for all ages – hoodies, jerseys, bags, shorts, socks and hats are now available from Liz Daly (02837 548692).
Gym Circuits
Male and female circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym every Wednesday evening (7.30 – 8.40pm) and Saturday morning (9.00 – 10.00am). Everyone is welcome.
