Eglish Seniors final group game in the Ulster Club Senior League is a home game versus Castleblayney on Sunday 3rd March at 12 noon.
Minors
The Minor footballers open their Grade 1A campaign with a home game to Edendork on Saturday 2nd March at 4:30pm. All support greatly appreciated.
Under 8 and Under 10 Football
Coaching for these age groups continues on Sundays from 12:15 to 1:15pm in the Sports Hall. It will run until March 10th. Players should bring a water bottle, football boots and trainers as well as tracksuit bottoms. Weather permitting some training will be held outside.
River Bank Dance Festival
The ‘River Bank Dance Festival’ grand launch night will take place on Saturday 9th March in the Sports Hall. The stars of ‘Come Dancing Eglish Style’ will be unveiled to those in attendance. Doors open 8.30pm. Admission is free with a disco following the launch.
The festival takes place on the May bank holiday weekend from 24th to 26th. Proceedings kick off on Friday 24th May with Derek Ryan and his band taking to the stage. On Saturday 25th May we host the Strictly Come Dancing Eglish style and closing the weekend on Sunday 26th is Nathan Carter and his band.
Club Membership
Club membership for 2013 is now due for collection, and must be paid by the 31st March. Membership costs are as follows: Adults £30; Senior Citizens £10; Student £10; Youth £10. For the next number of weeks membership can be paid in the Sports Hall following Sunday morning mass.
On receipt of membership fee, youth players will be provided with a boil and bite gum shield. Please see the Eglish or Tyrone GAA websites for more detail on the new rule which requires all youth players to wear gum shields at coaching sessions and matches from 1st January 2013
Club Gear
Club gear for all ages – hoodies, jerseys, bags, shorts, socks and hats are now available from Liz Daly (02837 548692).
Gym Circuits
Male and female circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym every Wednesday evening (7.30 – 8.40pm) and Saturday morning (9.00 – 10.00am). Everyone is welcome.
