Youth Football Notice

Youth Football

This year’s Thursday evening coaching for U6s, U8s, U10s and U12s is up and running at Father Connolly Park from 6pm to 7pm.  U12s will also train on Sundays after mass from 12noon to 1:15pm. Páirc Chormaic is closed until further notice.

Children in all age groups must be registered. Please also note that all youth are expected to wear gum shields when playing Gaelic football during games and coaching.  This rule was introduced on January 1st 2013.

Eglish St Patrick’s GAC are providing a ‘boil & bite’ gum shield to all children who register with the club.  A registration fee of £10 for all youth members includes a gum shield.

Under 6s

Under 6 coaching will hold the same theme as the Gaelic Start  programme whereby a parent (or guardian) must attend and take part in the coaching sessions.  Parents will NOT be permitted to drop children off for this age group.

Under 8s, under 10s and under 12s

Help is needed with these age groups particularly with Go-Games Blitzes.  Any parents who can help in any way please contact Eglish Youth Officer Michael McKenna on 07866449299.   This year’s proposed dates for the Go-Games Blitzes are listed overleaf.  Please note Under 10s have a blitz this Saturday morning (April 13th) in Coalisland.  All players should assemble at the main hall in Eglish at 9:30am.  Can all U10 players please advise coaches this Thursday evening if they can attend this blitz?
