Senior Camogie

This week the seniors travel to Castledawson on Wednesday to continue their efforts in the Derry League. All players to meet in Eglish at 6pm, game at 7.30pm.

Post Primary

Next Monday, the post primary girls play Fr. Shields, Greencastle in the Semi Final of the Championship. Time and venue still to be arranged. Good luck to all the players, let’s hope they end up in the final!

U14 Camogie

This Wednesday, the U14s are back in action with their second league game away to Eire Og. Players to meet in Eglish at 5.20pm, game in Eire Og at 6.30pm. All support welcome.

Youth Training

No minor and U16 training this week – players will be notified when it is next on again.

U14 and Post Primary training continues this Friday, 5pm – 6.30pm.

Go Games

The second Go-Games Blitz takes place this Saturday 25th May in Derrylaughan at 10am. All girls to meet in Eglish at 9am. Please remember to bring water, a packed lunch and suitable clothing for the weather. The girls will be back in Eglish at 12.30 and parents/guardians must be there on time to collect their children.

Ulster Gael Linn Team

Well done to the Gael Linn team on Sunday and in particular to the Eglish girls, Maria Jordan, Shauna Jordan and Ciara McGready. The girls beat Connacht in the semi final but unfortunately lost to Munster by a single point in the final.

Slieve Donard Climb

In association with the Tyrone Camogie County Board, a number of camogs are taking on the challenge to climb Slieve Donard on 8th June to raise much needed funds for the County and Club. If anyone is interested in taking this challenge on, please give your name Ursula.

River Bank Dance Festival

The long awaited River Bank Dance Festival is finally upon us this weekend. Some tickets are still available for both Derek Ryan, (Friday night) and Nathan Carter (Sunday night). Tickets are available from the following outlets; Gene Stuart’s Dungannon, Cuba Clothing Dungannon/Omagh, Streaks Ahead Armagh, CPS Cookstown, Leo Quinns Ballygawley, McCanns shop Eglish, Dalys shop Eglish, Scissors Sisters Eglish and Milan At Moy. A weekend ticket is available in McCanns and Dalys shop priced at £40.

Best wishes to Frankie who will be representing the Camogs on Saturday night in Come Dancing with her dance partner Joey Jordan, and good luck to all the other couples who have been practicing tirelessly to ensure they put on a great performance. Limited tickets, £20, can be bought from any of the dancers taking part.

With plenty of help needed this weekend, anyone that is willing to lend a hand with cleaning, tea making, stewarding etc., is asked to contact Mairead Mason.

Sympathy

Finally the club extends it sympathy to the McGready family on the passing of Peter.  Father of former senior camogs, Nora, Teresa and Mary-Rose, Grandfather and Uncle to current camogs Michelle McGready, Ciara McGready and Catherine Donnelly, and Uncle to our current Chairperson, Catherine Farley.
