Festival Fever
The next three or four months makes for exiting times for our parish as Eglish GFC and Camogie Clubs have organised a Festival of dancing from Fri 24th to Sun 26th May 2013.This promises to be a great weekends entertainment for young and old. Reminiscent of the old carnivals from bygone years the dancing will be staged in a state of the art marquee erected beside our sports hall.
The action starts on Friday May 24th with dancing to one of Ireland’s up and coming stars Derek Ryan and his band. Derek draws large crowds to all venues where he plays, so a great nights dancing is promised.
Local interest will be at fever pitch on Saturday 25th when Strictly Come Dancing 2 hits the stage. Who can forget the excellent production for our first Strictly. Once again under the guidance of Lauren Hamill it promises to hit the heights as the dancers salsa, tango, riverdance, Charleston etc.
Finally on Sunday 26th Ireland’s top Country Attraction Nathan Carter and his band will take to the stage. Now acclaimed as the No1 act in the country, we are thrilled to see him visit Eglish for the first time.
All information leading up to the festival will be published in the club notes, parish bulletin and club web-site, so watch this space.
