Football Club Notes

Senior Football

Eglish are away to Magherafelt on Sunday 17th February in the Quinn’s Corner Ulster Club Football League. The game is scheduled for a 12pm throw-in.

Under 14 Football

Under  14 training will be starting this Wednesday 13th February at 6pm. All players must bring football boots, trainers and a bottle of water.

Under 8 and Under 10 Football

Coaching for these age groups continues on Sundays from 12:15 to 1:15pm in the Sports Hall.  It will run until March 10th.  Players should bring a water bottle, football boots and trainers as well as tracksuit bottoms.  Weather permitting some training will be held outside.

Gaelic Start Programme

The Gaelic Start programme for 4 to 9 year olds continues on Mondays at 6:45pm. The final session will be on Monday 25th February.  Please note that at least one parent/guardian must attend with their child/children as advised by the Tyrone County Board.

Club Membership

Club membership for 2013 is now due for collection, and must be paid by the 31st March. We’d like to see all existing members renew their membership for 2013 and welcome any new members for the year ahead. Membership costs are as follows: Adults £30; Senior Citizens £10; Student £10; Youth £10. For the next number of weeks membership can be paid in the Sports Hall following Sunday morning mass.

On receipt of membership fee, youth players will be provided with a boil and bite gum shield.  Please see the Eglish or Tyrone GAA websites for more detail on the new rule which requires all youth players to wear gum shields at coaching sessions and matches from 1st January 2013

Club Gear

Club gear for all ages – hoodies, jerseys, bags, shorts, socks and hats are now available from Liz Daly (02837 548692).

Last Man Standing

The results after Round 1 of Last Man Standing can be viewed on the website www.eglishgac.com. Twelve people were knocked out, 61 remain.

Gym Circuits

Male and female circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym every Wednesday evening (7.30 – 8.40pm) and Saturday morning (9.00 – 10.00am). Everyone is welcome.

Club Lotto

The Lotto No’s for Monday 4th February were 4,16,18,24. There were four match 3 winners, Jackie Gildernew, Steven Daly, Davy Campbell and Eamon Burke.

The next Lotto draw will be held on Monday 11th February, Jackpot is £6,800

Sympathy

Eglish St Patrick’s GAC extends its deepest sympathy to the Gribben family (Blackwatertown/Eglish) and the McCann family (Killeeshil) on their recent bereavements.
