Football Club Notes

Minors and U14s       

The Minors won their first league game against Edendork at the weekend on a score line of 3:14 to 2:8.  On Saturday 9thMarch they travel to Pomeroy, throw in scheduled for 4 30pm.

The U14s begin their league campaign on Saturday 9th March versus Gael Naomh Padraig in Eglish at 1pm.

Under 8 and Under 10 Football

Coaching for these age groups continues on Sundays from 12:15 to 1:15pm in the Sports Hall.  It will run until March 10th.  Players should bring a water bottle, football boots and trainers as well as tracksuit bottoms.  Weather permitting some training will be held outside.

River Bank Dance Festival

The ‘River Bank Dance Festival’ grand launch night will take place this Saturday 9th March in the Sports Hall. The stars of ‘Come Dancing Eglish Style’ will be unveiled to those in attendance. Doors open 8.30pm. Admission is free with a disco following the launch.

Club Membership

Club membership for 2013 is now due for collection, and must be paid by the 31st March. Membership costs are as follows: Adults £30; Senior Citizens £10; Student £10; Youth £10. For the next number of weeks membership can be paid in the Sports Hall following Sunday morning mass.

On receipt of membership fee, youth players will be provided with a boil and bite gum shield.  Please see the Eglish or Tyrone GAA websites for more detail on the new rule which requires all youth players to wear gum shields at coaching sessions and matches from 1st January 2013

Club Gear

Club gear for all ages – hoodies, jerseys, bags, shorts, socks and hats are now available from Liz Daly (02837 548692).

Gym Circuits

Male and female circuits are being held in the Sports Hall Gym every Wednesday evening (7.30 – 8.40pm) and Saturday morning (9.00 – 10.00am). Everyone is welcome.

Club Lotto

The Lotto No’s for Monday 25 February were 7,8,9,16. There were three match 3 winners, Noeleen Treanor, Katie Treanor and Denis Quinn.

The next Lotto draw will be held on Monday 4 March, Jackpot is £6,950

Sympathy

Eglish St Patrick’s GAC extends its deepest sympathy to the Gorman family (Blackwatertown) and Kelly family (Galbally).
